I work in a countertop shop. Every day I'd watch premium solid surface material, the same stuff going into high-end kitchen countertops, get trimmed down and set aside. One day I picked up a leftover piece and thought this would make the best cutting board anyone has ever owned. So I made one. Brought it home, put it in my kitchen, and never looked back.
